| Match Report | PGSOB endured a nightmare start to their derby game against their neighbours. Only 2 of the previous week's back 5 started this week's match. Marjons were able to exploit the lack of cohesion and in a flurry of goals were 3-0 up in less than 10 minutes. In an act of generosity Marjons then gifted PGSOB a goal passing the ball to Dan Vaughan in front of goal. Half time 1-3 PGs managed to match Marjons in the second half. Both teams caused the other problems and the disastrous first 10 minutes seemed long forgotten. Some good attacking spells saw PGs win 2 penalty corners in succession. Lloyd Milbourn dispatched the first sidestepping the first runner and then flicking the ball over the sprawling keeper. The second corner was slipped to Mambo who dispatched the ball with venom. PGSOB had unexpectedly drawn level. With confidence brimming they pushed for a winner. Unfortunately, this was too prove their undoing. A mistake in front of defence opened up an opportunity and Marjons took it. Whilst battling to draw level again PGSOB conceded a 5th goal Full time 3-5 |
