The first league outing for the 4th team saw a strong side travel to Torbay. Isaac Whittaker kept a clean sheet in goal and had only two touches of the ball all game -one of which the umpire deemed to be back stick (although Isaac had a different opinion)- great to see him growing in confidence. Toby Tricket and Toby Acharya -along with the more experienced Dave Cobbold-ran the show at the back. They were never really troubled and had good opportunities to move up with attacking play. The addition of James Stannard and Aaron Buckingham to the midfield this week helped to ensure that we dominated- add to that the endless running and stick skills of Seb Frost and Luke Oakarr (who scored)and Torbay didn't get much of a look in. Sam Easterbrook scored and showed how much he has improved over the last season. Jude Williams-as always- was never far from the action and although only scoring one goal ( a trickler at that) had several chances and will score lots during the season. Alex Fishley was dominant up front with 3 goals (if you ask him he'll talk you through them) and a great addition to the team. Overall a solid performance that showed how much the team has improved. Enjoyable to play. Jude also avoided dog (his aim for this season). Well done Seb for forgetting your PGs shirt and accepting the award.
