Another game a gainst a strong side who would cope well in the league above. This was a very physical encounter which provided different challenges and development points. The need to keep discipline regarding umpires and opposition when loosing and playing a physical side was achieved by most but not all. This was adressed and did improve (the umpires were both excellent and dealt with it in a very supportive manner). We also resorted to ambitious hits with more hope than expectation at times -this was as a result of strong pressing from the opposition in all pars of the pitch. We struggled to match their technical skills and speed. Having said that it was a good learning oportunity. It also showed how much progress has been made by the developing players. isaac Whittaker was man of the match -having made many goal scoring saves and bossing his D throughout the game. Up front Jude hed the ball up well and took on very experienced defenders with great skill. Toby trickett was positionally perfect and played with great strength and control (technically very good). Seb frost was strong in midfield and took the ball out of contact well. Everyone else worked hard and as a team showed resilience. We need to cotinue to work on short corner skills as well as building energy levels throughout the game.
