2XI travelled to Truro to play their 2nd team who play in Southern 1 to close out pre season friendlies. We had a younger side with a less familiar midfield setup but despite this started well and managed the early sustained pressure from Truro. As the game went on our transfer out from the back was more restricted but marking was well managed to keep the scoreboard at 0-0 by half time. The second half started slower and caused us to concede a number of goals in the first 25 mins before we countered and came back to 4-1 with a goal line scramble to claw one back. Last 15 was much better with better determination and movement. Special mention goes to Joe Coombes as MotM who played a strong defensive game with great commitment. Nick added some good distribution from the centre but we all recognised that next week will need us to step up again and take the game to Chard in the 1st League match. Well done everyone on the pre season and looking forward to the season starter.
