The best performamce yet from this new 2XI, and a step up in terms of opposition which saw better defensive structure and importantly counter attack building through triangular passing into space. Special mention to Ciaran who as man of the match made some fantastic saves. The forwards played with more confidfence and created chances which resulted in penalty corners and provided a well worked top D switch to give us the lead through Charlie before the break. The 2nd half saw sustained pressure from Ashmoor but the team reacted well and we countered providing a balanced game. Ashmoor's equaliser came from a short corner strike into the bottom right corner but open play remained well managed with good transfer from the back and confidence with better ball speed than the previous two games. Special mentions also go to Archie and Beanie who always looked threatening and worked well with linking up with Mike up front supported by Clooke and Colin. Joe gave a very commited performance and Westy was strong in the tackles and produced a great 2nd half performance. Looking forward to a busy week with games on Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday that provides great preparation goining into the league.
