PGSOB 2XI (A) Vs Chard

A confident 14 strong 2nd team went to Chard to build on the tough pre season games. These games paid off with a dominant 1st half which saw us 3-0 up and with plenty of attacking and PCA options. Goals included a great solo effort form Angus from right wing back as well as a well executed short corner strike from Mike Davidson. Play in the middle was well controlled as well as the back transfer which saw James Grant join the back 4 for the first time. At half time we wanted to build on a clean sheet and start as if it were 0-0 but the second half saw the opposition come back into the game and as such our first touch in most areas of the pitch was weaker. Chard broke down with a press on our transfer and scored to give them some hope which was replied 5 mins later through a well worked goal by Mike Carter who picked up Man of the Match. A further was 2 goals were conceded but it was good to see us always keep 2 goals ahead and the last of Chard's goals from a well executed PCA drag flick. 

Next week will be home to ECV Hornets which will need us to start like our 1st half from this game and dominate play with high press. Hopes are high and confidence building - well done team let's keep the momentum of these new winning ways!
