Alot of expectation going into this game after the long pause in league games and a great result to show from a side that dominated for most of the game and had depth within the 14 strong side. We started ok and quickly grew into the game and opened the scoring with some great stick skills and good reactions from Mike Carter who made Truro's clearance difficult. The press worked well and maintained pressure that after 15mins saw us up by two goals but this was countered and Truro started to come alive and present a fight from some breakaway moves. Good midfield control from the experience of Lloyd and Nick was further maximised by Sam O Connell but MOTM Jack Bellamy shone in his roaming role in the mid that gave good speed in our attack. Half time score 4-2 and all to play for to ensure we kill off the Truro attack which was at times threatening but largely covered by a well disciplined Defense. Highlights at the back include Sam Knapman with a notable great ariel ball, Dan, James and Joe also worked well and this will be crucial to build on for the next game with top of the table opponents ISCA. Thanks to Ciaran too (who had a notable 5 min sideline appearance after taking out a young Truro forward in dramatic style - wasent his fault though!) who will swap with Tristan next week for the trip to Exeter. Areas to work on include quick transfer ball and movement off the ball both of which will be key in this match.
